About the role
You will lead backend work on systems that businesses run their operations on: ERP modules, CRM platforms and multi-tenant SaaS products. That means designing the data model, writing the APIs the frontend and mobile teams consume, and staying involved once it is live.
We work in two-week sprints with code review on every change. You will not be handed a specification and left alone with it; you will be in the conversations where scope gets decided.
What you will do
- Design and build REST APIs and backend services in Laravel
- Model relational schemas and write efficient, indexed queries
- Review pull requests and mentor two to three junior developers
- Profile and fix performance problems in production systems
- Work directly with clients during discovery and demo sessions
What we are looking for
- 4+ years of professional PHP, at least 2 with Laravel
- Strong SQL: joins, indexing and query profiling, not just Eloquent
- Experience with queues, caching and background jobs
- Comfortable with Git, code review and CI pipelines
- Able to explain technical trade-offs to a non-technical client
